IPELC provides a balanced and nutritious meal and snack plan that fuels little bodies for a day of play. Our menus are designed by a nutritionist specifically to meet our children’s daily nutritional requirements. Our meals include fresh fruit and veggies, some organic snacks and other food items. All of our meals are cooked at IPELC by a certified cook in our state-certified kitchen.
Breakfast, lunch, and two afternoon snacks are provided for children in the full-day program.
Lunch is served family-style with a teacher at each table. Children set the tables for lunch and are often excited to be chosen for the job. During lunch, they talk with their teachers about their day to gain socialization skills, and are also reminded of appropriate etiquette. Proper hand-washing techniques and body care are practiced daily to help reduce and eliminate the spread of germs.
