Caring Childcare in Irving Park

The mission statement of Irving Park Early Learning Center is to nurture the “whole child” in areas of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development. This will be achieved through providing a variety of activities that are developmentally appropriate and recognizes the individual needs and differences of children.

Welcome to Irving Park Early Learning Center's Home on the Web!
We believe the foundation for learning is best laid by creating a balance between a structured learning experience, and free play chosen by the child.

Structured learning takes place primarily in a group of children with similar age and developmental needs, where the child learns to participate within a social group other than his or her family. For most children, this will be their first experience of being treated as an equal in a group of peers.

The social skills children learn in this setting will benefit them throughout life: respecting oneself and others, learning to share and take turns, cooperating with others, and learning when and how to be assertive.
